Sony Ericsson Walkman W8 Android phone

Sony Ericsson Walkman W8
More bad news for British mobile fanatics this morning, with the news that Sony Ericsson has killed off plans to launch its sleek, but basic W8 Walkman phone on these shores.
In a statement, SE said, “We can confirm that the W8 Walkman phone will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The Walkman branding and the legacy from previous Walkman phones is very strong in these particular markets and therefore we decided to launch the phone in these markets.”
The W8 isn’t exactly stacked with next-gen features. There’s a low-res 320x480 screen, Android 2.1 and a 3.2 megapixel camera round the back. With better budget options up for grabs in the UK, including Samsung’s Galaxy Mini and the HTC Wildfire S, perhaps Sony Ericsson didn’t fancy its chances much here in Blighty.
