We recently reported about the E6 being ready for pre-order in the U.K. Nokia has now announced its pre-booking scheme for the Nokia E6 touch and type business smartphone in India. The phone will be powered by the Symbian Anna operating system, slated to make its debut in the country.
Buyers can get a first look of the handset at selected Nokia Priority stores across the country. In order to pre-book the smartphone, they need to fill an online form with the choice of their nearest Priority store. The interested applicants can expect receiving a call from the store within 24 hours. They would then have to deposit a booking amount of Rs. 2,000 for securing the deal.
The Nokia touch and type business smartphone comes with a high resolution touch display and QWERTY keypad. Users can view live social network updates on the homescreen and get easy access to private and business mails. It is packed with applications, productivity tools, web and location-based services. Through the Ovi stores, users can download games, videos and more than one million songs.
Boasting of an improved battery life with around 14 hours of talk-time, users can anticipate engaging in long and undisturbed phone conversations. It has an 8MP full focus (EDOF) camera with dual LED flash and 2x digital zoom and a front VGA camera. The handset has an in-built memory storage of 8GB and an external memory of up to 32GB using a microSD memory card.
The phone provides access to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile and Microsoft SharePoint. Business-grade security solutions like device lock and wipe, secure the handset’s intranet access and device management. The handset is available in a choice of black, silver and white color.
The Nokia E6 touch and type smartphone is priced at Rs. 17,900 for India.
